Well done to all the parents who took part in our six week Parents Together Course. It was a great success and enjoyed very much by everybody who took part.....

4th of December 16 Days of Action‏

North Wall CDP are holding a small event to mark and support Women’s Aid campaign: 16 days of Action. They will meet at the Sean O Casey Bridge on the North Quays facing Jury’s hotel at 11.30 am on the 4th of December. They will take time to remember the victims of domestic abuse and those still living in abusive situations. Domestic abuse occurs in every social and economic grouping of society, all ethnic groups and cultures and among people of every educational background. There is no "type" of woman to whom it occurs, and there is no "type" of home in which it happens. North Wall CDP will release purple balloons into the air to remember a life lost through domestic violence and they would be delighted if you could join them on the day. There will be Tea / Coffee served afterwards in the centre for anyone who would like to join them.

It's Great to be Grand - Larriers Grandparents Day Sep 2012

Yesterday 9th September was Grandparents Day so a very HAPPY GRANDPARENTS DAY to all the Larriers grandparents. We asked the boys to nominate their grandparent(s) for The Larriers Grandparents of the Year 2012 and to give a reason why. We picked a winner from each class and the grandparents received a medal and certificate. So, well done to all the grandparents and the boys and we hope you all enjoyed a lovely day!!! Here is what the finalists from each class had to say about their very special grandparent(s).
FINALISTS:
2nd Class
Alex nominated his grandad Kriste because “he plays with me, draws good pictures and lets me use his torch.”

Adam nominated his grandmother and he said “she reared my ma excellent, my ma reared me excellent. I wish I met my nanny.”
4th Class
Shane nominated his nanny and grandad “because my granda brought me to the hall and we had fun and my nanny is very funny and she makes the best coddle ever.”

5th Class
Josh nominated his nanny and grandad because he said “they love me. They also understand me and they take care of me. I love them.”
6th Class
John nominated his nanny and grandad and he said the reason was because “when I’m sad they crack me up and they’re always helping me with my homework and they’re always there for me.”
