The boys in 6th Class took part in the ONE BOOK ONE COMMUNITY competition and congratulations to Jack who was the finalist from his class.
Greenest Class Award School February 2012 goes to 5th Class
The Larriers are going for their 3rd Green Flag. The first two flag were for Litter & Waste and Energy. The third flag is for Water. The boys are working really hard and have started doing weekly spot checks in all rooms in the school to make sure everybody is doing their bit for the environment. All the classes get points for RECYCLING, SAVING ENERGY and CONSERVING WATER. Well done to 5TH CLASS who were the first to receive the award for the Month of February for having the GREENEST CLASSROOM OF THE MONTH!!!

One Book One Community Launch January 2012
The boys in 6th Class are taking part in the One Book One Community project and attended the launch in O'Connells' Secondary School. 19 schools in the local area are involved in this project. Last year the boys read Brian Gallaghers Across The Divide. The book chosen this year is the latest book by Brian Gallagher, Taking Sides. Each child received a goodie bag on the day of the launch which included a copy of the book and the offical bookmark resulting from our bookmark competition. Well done to Jack who was the finalist from our school and a big THANK YOU to Brian Gallagher for attending the launch!!!
